Hi, my name is Nicholas Zakas and I'm a software engineer, author, and part-time philosopher working in Silicon Valley. A lot of people know me as Nicholas C. Zakas, author of several books and blogger at NCZOnline. But to my friends and family, I'm just Nicholas, the incredibly sarcastic, goofy, child-loving, family-centered guy who likes to understand people and things.
On this blog, I've dropped the formality of "C" and left technical writing behind. This is a place that more closely mirrors my mind, where I'll be writing about topics I enjoy, such as philosophy, psychology, social interaction, sports, and life in general. My technical writing will continue, both in books and at NCZOnline, but this is where the rest of me resides.
