End of Innocence
Well, I suppose it had to happen at some point: I've started getting comment spam. On the one hand, it's really freakin' annoying; on the other, it means more people are visiting the site; on the third hand, it means I have to do something about it.
I'm a little torn at this point about what to do. I could add a CAPTCHA image to post, which could stop automated spam, but I don't think the ones I'm getting are automated. I'm very against having people create accounts just to comment on blogs, because I think it takes away from the "ad-hoc" nature of blogs. I have a couple of ideas about how this will work, which I don't want to share lest the spammers be reading, but I think you'll all find it pretty easy to deal with.
That being said, what would be your preference for something that isn't incredibly annoying yet works?
