Sickness…
Every time I get sick (which I have been for the past week), I find myself wondering, "why haven't we cured this yet?" I mean, we can have a near 80 percent cure rate for childhood cancer, but man, if you get the flu, you're on your own. Bedrest and plenty of fluids.
Speaking of which, it's hard to get fluids in when you're throwing up all the time. I always wondered why no one invented something like Gatorade for people who are dehydrated due to throwing up. Something that provided the electrolytes in a rapidly absorbable form that also wouldn't burn your throat if you had to throw it up again. Gatorade itself is too heavy and full of sugar for someone who's nauseous.
Don't mean to gross anyone out, but next time you're sick, think about it.
